Blyth 20/4/13
I took a walk along humford woods with the dog and there were a few grayling rising so I thought things are looking up. So I dropped the dog off, got a pass out and shot down to the river.
I only had a couple of hours pass out so I went to the farm stretch. I should have know better as it started to rain as I walked down to the river. I think the fishing gods were laughing at me. I should have gone after the grayling but the lure of the stockies was to strong. Surely they were feeding now.
No they were not I only saw one fish rise all the time I was there. I managed to turn 3 fish on my GHPTN but they wouldn't come back for another go. I'm starting to get worried about the river. Where have all the fish gone !!!!!

Re: Blyth 20/4/13
Someone has stocked a Pike and its eating all the Stockies or there is a few Herons, or they just might be settling themselves a little, or worst case after a big flood they have been washed downstream.
Give em time they will show up hopefully.

I was out on Saturday with similar results, 5 hours saw 3 fish rise and about 4 bites..... Seriously considering the River Derwent next year like!
