Have to Agree stew , Langley have been good to us over the years ,
they even doubled our charity money on one occasion , gave prizes etc. with out expecting any thing in return .
we need to get a site day at Chatton as well me thinks .
as they have always looked after the members as well .
any way as you say its up to the members we can only suggest places
haven't been to sweethope for a while as well .

Re: site days 2014
Andy at Higham have always supported sites, certain a few still enjoy fishing there? Langley with there support in the past (as Stew/Dave says!!!) deserves a day or 2, It is central to us all (its 130 mile round trip for me, not just down the road?) bet its much more for Andy R, Wish people would start thinking of others that have to travel much further!!! how about one down to Leighton ??? (70 mile round trip from me, lol) about the same distance from Newcastle as it is for me to Langley.
Need something arranging soon though, I miss seeing you all

Re: site days 2014
Ian andy has some good plans for higham this year and I personally really like the place because its a challenge to fish it but I am sure he would put some fish in for a site day but if he does what he wants to do with it this year it could be a cracking water and I am willing to travel anywhere to a site day as long as I can get a lift hopefully by summer I will b able to drive then I can give people lifts!

Re: site days 2014
The only problem I have at Higham is keeping the fish out of the water, I went in once trying to recatch one that had unhooked itself? (in a competition if I remember right), to the joy of others, oh well best member going in is still held by Topcat at Chatton he had to be hauled out by his collar
Re: site days 2014

Re: site days 2014
Stew you've been put in charge of site days m8. Pick a date and venue otherwise this thread will run forever. Ive nothing against Langley i like the place, but weve been there a few times in the last couple of years, just would like to see somewhere new. Why not have the charity day at langley and other site days elsewhere.

Re: site days 2014
I see where Darren is coming from regarding Langley. We had a site day there in September 2012,then March 2013 and charity day at the end of last year as well.I think to have charity day there and consider for the upcoming site is too much.Stu are lads prepared to travel as far as Alderneuk? I see no point in setting if only a few would go along.

A wee visit to Tweeddale/Markle is an alternative to other venues.
