Best Fry Feeding Waters In The North East???????
As the title says- on which north east waters have you witnessed fry feeding?
Not just the odd one but the shoals of coarse fry getting hammered.
I have never seen it on the scale of when I've visited Rutland or Grafham- but I have seen it on a smaller scale on Scaling Dam, Lockwood Beck and Leighton.
I would love to find somewhere to fish a big minkie or floating fry over the next month.

The best ive seen is the perch and pike hitting the fry at bassenthwate. Its like watching a pack hunting their pray.

Don't fish reservoirs too often so haven't seen anything like you mentioned, did have an exciting hour last year at Langley though, late afternoon session straight from work had great fun pulling a minky booby, bow waves, the lot, certainly had the old ticker going:lol: didn't catch many though, just 2 if I remember ! Must be great if there's a feeding frenzy on !

Thornton Steward Reservoir is a good water for fish feeding on course fry.
I caught a Brown Trout one year and it was stuffed with roach fry.
I used to catch fish on the Missionary and the Missionary Muddler.
Its a concrete bowl but the river Ure is pumped through it. Ive seen reports of Barbel caught on the fly in their.
Bet theirs some pike lurking in their.

Thornton Stewart and Leighton but there is a lot of fry in both, I have been snapped a few times in Thornton often thinking it was Pike (remember I use bull rope all the time so dont often get smashed)

Agree with Leighton- I have seen fry herded into the point just over the bridge.
Saw someone catch a ruffe there!!!!
