Rules on the site Empty Rules on the site

Post by admin Fri Jan 17, 2014 9:59 am

We have a very basic set of rules on the site, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

When I recieve complaints from others, I think there must be something wrong?

Dispite another admin. sending 2 pm's to the culprit, he/she continued, I took a few of them off and edited a couple more, I sent a pm to the culprit, which he said he would cease posting, lets get back to "Fishing related" after the comment below I have removed the joke section, (why should I bother, is ringing in my ears)

I do not expect to recieve a pm saying "your site your rules mate?"

I set the site up for you the members, but I and the other admins and mods will try and keep it clean and legal, lets not forget this is a family site.

If you have a problem there are 100s of other websites on the internet.

have to agree with you ian
the person/member was asked 2-3 times to tone down his posts .
"your site your rules mate?" NO our site members rules .
as you said and have previously said "keep it clean and legal"
we don't want closed down of the host
regards
Dave

Can moderators not edit posts.  If not whats the use of them.  Your site your rules is a pop at me as thats what i replied to your pm with, think you need to get a thicker skin if thats upset you.  The two jokes i saw wernt bad and had no swearing at all in.  Incase you didnt know the word penis is not a swear word or was it the word Black that upset people.  No wonder the forum is going down the pan

Yes moderators and admin can edit posts, but unfortunatley we cannot be on the site / read every post all the time, I did not mention who it was, I have had that line thrown in my face more than a few times in the last year, do I need a thicker skin, maybe, it is still very raw from last year, when I am the One that gets the visit from the police that was related to me been an admin on here, as well as other things.

I am not going to get drawn in to an argument over words that are or are not swear words but what I will say is would you allow an 8/10 year old read all the jokes that were getting copied from elsewhere and posted into this site, I am certain I would not let my daughter read them.

I do not think the site is going down the pan, I do not know where or why you think this? we have been getting new members signing into the site since I opened up the facebook page, I am so close to throwing in the towel totaly, I do what I think will be good for you lot, then just continue to get it chucked back in my face, why should I bother?????

well looks like i'm the culprit who caused all the bother with my jokes didn't think i would generate so much grief with giving people a laugh i hope i haven't offended anyone on this site and did not wish to do so. don't give this site up on my wrongdoings i only posted more of the same because I was asked to by a few of the forum members i will take full responsibility and will leave the site and not post anything from now on all the best in the future and tight lines.

Simple solution, have section for aged 18+.Where a member if admin has to approve before you can post and its kept private. Used to work fine on the old TnF as I recall......
