TEFF Rules 2014
AT TEFF BANK RULES 2014 ///// Taken From TEFF Website
NB: As far as possible these rules will be applied at all heats, however there may be variations at certain venues to suit local fishery rules & circumstances
THIS COMPETITION IS TOTALLY CATCH AND RELEASE
1. Maximum 3 rods set up
2. Maximum 2 barbless hooks, which must be 50 cms apart (meaning from point of point fly to the bend of the top dropper). New Zealand style is NOT ALLOWED.
3. Scoring system is 1 point per fish (to a maximum of 5 fish per peg), plus 1 point for every peg an angler catches on.
NB: If an angler hooks and manages to land 2 fish, they will count as 2 points, unless the angler is on 4 points on that peg, when they will only count as 1 point.
An indicator fly may be used but it must be able to catch a fish, ie it must have a hook in it.
4. Foul-hooked fish do not count. A fish must be hooked from the gill plate forwards, in order to count.
5. There will be four sessions of 40 minutes each in the morning, followed by an hour’s break for lunch, then another four sessions of 40 minutes each in the afternoon.
The fishing times will be:
AM - 9.00-9.40am, 9.45-10.25am, 10.30-11.10am, 11.15-11.55am
Lunch – 12.00-1.00pm
PM – 1.00-1.40pm, 1.45-2.25pm, 2.30-3.10pm, 3.15-3.55pm
6. The winner, and subsequent places, will be decided by their total points score. The first placed competitor having the highest score, the second placed the next highest, and so on.
NB: In the event of a tie between competitors for any particular place, positions will be decided by, in order:
(A) The number of fish caught
(B) The number of pegs fish were caught at
(C) The number of pegs 5 fish were caught at
Entries are to be a minimum of 12 per heat, where the qualification ratio is 1 in 4.
Qualifiers from each heat are to be a maximum of 3 individuals and 1 team.
If there is a shortfall of entries, and there are more than 16 individual entries in any heats, then when all the heats are finished, the remaining places for the National Final will be selected from these over-subscribed heats (ie those with more than 16 individual entries).

Re: TEFF Rules 2014
I take it lee it must be fixed to a dropper and it counts as one of your two flies.....same rules as the final last year mate...the way I pick things up is that all flies must be tied on BARBLESS hooks....not crushed de-barbed or filed down ..!!
