site day thanks,

well thats it gone and what a cracking day, most people caught fish , and it was good to see some new faces. most importantly an excellent amout of money was raised to go to a very worthwhile cause. many thanks to all who helped  organise the day either with the auction or the raffle and to everyone who took the time to tie some flies, bought tickets or donated something.

I'd just like to add my thanks for another great site day, to Stew for getting the day up and running, Langley for their usual friendly hospitality, Daz for running the raffle and to everyone who donated prizes and bought tickets which meant we raised a fantastic sum for a very worthwhile cause. There were some superb flies that I would have loved to win, but not this time unfortunately    The fishing was hard with a cold Easterly wind and thick fog and I didn't do very well (understatement ),so lastly I'd like to thank my boat partner Paul who had to put up with my whingeing all day   Roll on the next one !

Thanks lads, Many Thanks must go to Stew (apertiser) for arranging the day, to Andy (westcoaster) for the auctions on Facebook, to Darren (Dazkat) for running around selling raffle tickets, to Dave (Topcat) for helping Darren with shouting the numbers out, Many thanks must go to you all that turned up in that fog and made yesterday one hell of a good day, by Donating, by buying raffle tickets, taking part in the facebook auctions all raising a very good amount of £443.00. Well done to everyone involved.

The £443.00 will be banked by Anth/Ben at Langley, then later in the year September/October there is going to be another fund raising day arranged by Langley Dam with our Admin/mod team helping out with the organising, this day will be open to our members as well as the general public Fred was very well liked by all that knew him, I am certain that this day will be well attended too with another raffle ect held then the 2 amounts will be combined, after this day I will let you all know the full amount raised along with which charity has benefited.

Again Many Thanks too everyone who took part.

Cracking day lads and thanks to everyone for the support.
I know the weather was not kind to us and the fishing was hard but it was more then made up for with the money raised. A great testament to how well Fred was thought of.

Yes as usual a very well orginised day for a very good cause and a good amount raised only had 1to the net all day but Eric made up with it with all the mones and grones and with the odd naughty word

Assuming uts out of guarantee, you can still ring shop in alnwick and collect tip from factory in cramlington .
