Are you not catching any of the Brown Trout in Hury.
I cant belive i took them all out last time i was there.

HAVNY CAUGHT A BROWN AT HURY IN AGES OR SEEN ONE CAUGHT X ABOVE YOUR HEAD TAKING THEM FROM THERE LOL PLENTY IN SELSET IF YOU WANT THEM WHERE DID ALL THE BIG PERCH GO AND ROACH IN HURY NOT THE BIGGEST BUT HEALTHEST ROACH MY SONS EVER CAUGHT AND HE KNOWS A GOOD ROACH WHEN HE SEES ONE

Was that 1985 Peter?...Were you with Hylton and me at hury the day a guy caught an absolutely massive Bream off the dam wall?

Did know their was bream in Hury Harry. Perch were caught regulary when i started there in the late 70s. But then they drained it one year and the roach seemed to have taken the perches place.
I caught some big browns and rainbows from Hury in 2003 that year no flyfishing took place because it was been run as a course fishery.
My fish were overwintered from 2002.
In my diary 2001 was the year Foot and Mouth closed the fishing up Teesdale reservoirs.
I didnt fish at all in 2002 because i was ill with my deppression and anxiety.
