Hi eric , officially I got 15 as thats as many as you an catch, but it was over 20, It did go hard when it completely dark but the evening fished well and first light, I got most of mine on apps worms when there was light, but in the dark a decent sized muddle or a ginked up sedge, ( I know you like your sedges) but don't be frightened to "tweek" them fast in the dark....good sport. I got most of my fish on the big lake, but the night we were there, there were fish everywhere mate...hope you have a good one

Get your headlight on- you'll have your own personal hatch in tow on these warm nights.Smile

Surely the headlight will be the kiss of death.
When night fishing for sea-trout on the Wear them head torches or any light will chase any fish that is swimming round the pool.
The moon is one of the biggest problems when sea-trout fishing.
I might be wrong because i have never fished for rainbows in the dark. I do avoid lights on the water when i fish from beaches and piers in the winter.

The headlight crack was a joke Lochbois- you'd be a magnet for every midge and moth for miles.

Thats ok .Very Happy .
I avoid lights as much as i can when sea-trout fishing.
I hate to see these powerfull headlights walking along the bank shineing everywhere.
I need one for tying a hook on if i loose it up a tree.
I fished Whitby one night and was catching whiting on every cast. Then five lads came walking along the peir with lights blazeing plonked down beside me and everything went dead. They shone the light to see how far they got ,they followed the line in when they reeled in. I moved down the pier and started to get bites again.
I get frightened when the poachers come round lamping because you dont know if they will shoot me if i pop me head up.Very Happy
