Depends on the line Noel, I have had a couple that have been 9 foot sink tips and have shortened em by 3 foot so they only 6 foot sink tips now, I would still seal the end with superglue before putting a braided leader on though Arrow If the weighted taper depends on the sink tip it may make a difference been able to cast with it Wink

I used my Airflo Delta Clear Inter on sunday and it was a very good line. Very Slick going through the rings and great feel when the fish were biting. Seemed to load the rod very well also. So worth the money if anyone wants a good clear inter

Used to have a Rio lake intermediate but they are now about £54 lovely line. I have been using the Airflo Delta clear series of intermediate lines since they first came out a couple of years ago and they are supurb lines, cast very well and have very little stretch for instant bite detection, well worth the moneyat about £35.
