Re: site days 2014
Hi There,
Here are some details of the new fishery at Thrunton.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
If you click on the thumbnails at the left there is a small slide show.
It looks very impressive.
With regard to the site days we all have our favourites.
Mine would be Coldingham Loch.
However on the basis fo you cannot please all the people all the time it might be best to leave the choice of venue to the person who is doing the work of organising it.
Just my $0.02
Best Regards
robbie
PS I have 20% off everything Sale in the shop now.

Re: site days 2014
heres a suggestion for a few site dates this year,
coldingham
rosslynlee
langley
belflask
all are a decent size , not too small and not too big , have good quality fish and 3 have a lodge where we can get something to eat and drink and have a bit craic , most important part of site day afetr all it's supposed to be a get together , anyone have any thoughts

Re: site days 2014
Rosslynlee does have a lodge Stu but they don`t do hot food.Though i think if i got Ricky to ask Joan she would heat up pies if we took them. Also i`d like to point out that if you are going to book Rosslynlee then if you make a block booking of more than 8 rods then you must fill in a booking form that has to be handed in two weeks prior to the fishing day.So if you book 10 rods then 10 is what you pay for.Stu when i ran events to Rosslynlee what i did was have all the money in and fishing spots paid for when i handed in the booking form.If folk had`nt gave me the money then it was left to them to book on as an individual. No way was i going to be out of pocket,i`ve seen it happen there.I`d still say May is a superb month on Rosslynlee,i`d get a date set and get it booked as it can be popular with clubs mate!

Think Watendlath was what Dave was talking about?
Bellflask you would have to ask Brian if he would allow a group booking as he has his regulars who come 1st. I might have to be escorted there too or away from there
I might be up for the others if I can get a lift they are all out of my driving range! apart from Langley, pick up from home or van.
Lochwood Beck and Witton Castle would be two others.
Anybody arranging anything for February as it is too late for January now?
Re: site days 2014
andy has a point , rosslynlee is gonna be too complicated to arrange,i will pick a date and a choice of venues, someone can put a poll on to decide where . and i will sort the rest . if we have enough to justify calling it a site day fair enough,if not why not arrange a get together at fisheries by using the (going fishing want company )section .

How about sweethope. The 2 lakes have something for everyone and the lodge might be ready by then.

Re: site days 2014
Stu the only way round Rosslynlee policy is to book on individually. If a date was set then all folks would have to do is phone the fishery and book on themselves!

Re: site days 2014
ok , was thinking of first site day to be on weekend of 29th /30th march , give us time to organise and weather to hopefully be a bit kinder, suggested venues
coldingham
langley
alderneuk
and 1 other open to suggestions,
also a site day in may across to the lakes at watendlath is a possibility ,
finally may i suggest that if we do a charity day it should be at langley in aid of mcmillan ,

Get another vote for Sweethope from me. Don't know why Langley has to be mentioned for every site day.

Re: site days 2014
Only me that has mentioned langley darren , and thats because uts central for most , has a lodge for lunchtime , will provide food , and the charity part was because fred at langley has health issues that mcmillan is part of .
Sweethope is ok for a choice with me if thats what majority want , my only reservation was would it be stocked by then
