Sweethope Fishery Report 14th July

Fish Report-Sweethope Loughs July 8th –July 14th 2013

The hot weather has not deterred the committed angler and patience and perseverance have been rewarded by some excellent fishing. The evenings especially have seen some fine conditions for fishing dries.

Northumbria Police Angling Club visited the fishery on Thursday for a competition which was won by Mr. Tony Barclay, fishing from a float tube.

Fish of the week was taken by Emma Reid from Cullercoats who took a fine blue trout weighing 3lb. 7oz. From a boat on the Great Lake, using a Cats Whisker.

Other successful flies were: Black Pennell, Daddy Longlegs, Dawsons Olive, Black Gnat, Mayfly, Muddler, Bloodworm.

We were visited by 92 rods catching a total of 72 rainbow, 7 blue and 10 brown trout.
