Sweethope Fishery Report 7th July

Fish Report-Sweethope Loughs July 1st –July 7th 2013

The weather has steadily improved through the week with fish taking from the surface as well as deeper. We were host to two clubs this week with both the Ashington Kingfishers and Berwick Bears visiting the fishery on Sunday.

The Bears managed a catch of catch of 21 fish from 6 rods, returning 7.
The day was won by Davy Auld with a total weight of 7lb 10oz.

The Kingfishers fielded 20 rods and returned a total catch of 61 fish.
1st Bruce Tait,8 fish, total weight 9.77 kg.
2nd Alan Morton,7 fish, total weight 7.72 kg.
3rd Stevie Bowden, 5 fish, total weight 5.36 kg.
Heaviest fish caught by Bruce Tait a 1.87 kg Rainbow.

Fish of the week was taken by visitor from Jedburgh, Russell Turnbull, who caught a rainbow from the lower lake which weighed in at 4lb. on a Cats Whisker.

Total catch for the week was 189 fish from 111 rods.

Successful fly patterns: Dawsons olive, damsels, cormorant, muddler, goldhead, daddy, buzzers, hoppers, Kate McClaren, Cats Whisker.
