Smelly nets Empty Smelly nets

Post by twoaitch Sun Jul 07, 2013 6:21 pm

Anyone tried Febreze on smelly nets...If I take it out of the car to Air off, I will definitely forget to put it back in before the next outing.....I won't be accused of using illegal attractants , will I?

Volunteered to drive last week, the wife and her friend were none too pleased when they smelled my landing net...Now that you come to mention it Lee, one of their comments included socks, another was along the lines of me requiring urgent bowel surgery.

Just ordered a stink bag off amazon. I know it will probably rot the net quicker, but worth it to alleviate the earache.

I wash mine out in the water before leaving a fishery then it dry's out usually before it gets back to the car, not many fishy smells, only time the car get really fishy is when I forget a bass bag or carrier bag to put fish in Shocked

Rubberised net would sove all your problems and is the only type of net that should be used for c&r.If i owned or ran a fishery it would be the only type that i would allow. Not too dear,£25-£30 would get you net and extending pole.
