Site days out/ Want company

What is the point, Ive had enough, to much back biting on here, and I am sick of it, if you can do better Lee C, you can arrange a site day if there is any more after Tweedale arranged by Appertiser, and Cow Green been arranged by me.

A site day is not considered to be where one or two anglers turn up at a fishery, that would just be a day out with company, it is where we book either a full fishery for the day or have at least 20 members turn up at the same fishery with prior warning to them. ie Langley Dam 20 anglers the lake is closed for us all day.

This site aint a popularity contest Im billy-no-mates anyway, we do however have some very good anglers on it, including 2 members of the English Team, Rob (shipman) often turns up at site days and is open to questions as are most of us that are there, that is the whole point of a site day fun, and a bit of learning for new comers to our sport, some have given me and others a wealth of knowledge and know how on other site days on other websites, this is not Gameangler or Trout n Fly the original two websites that started off site days, this is ukgameangler a whole new site a whole new start I thought, but seems like in 5 months all some people want is to cause mayhem?

We have a regular good turn out at the site days, (tweedale is 17 miles south of Edinburgh and has plenty of doubles) great fun and crack every time, at site days, if you do not want to attend because you prefer a different type of water, that is your choice, you and nobody else is asked or told they have to turn up, it is your choice, to put your name down and not turn up regular it aint good for the site, unless there is a good reason for not been there, after all anything can happen, I do not want site days to be held where we have to pay before we go, which will happen if we constantly turn up with less anglers than we book for.

The site has only had the river tees site day that was cancelled by me in the interest of safety (it was in flood), and Lockwood Beck only had me and Andypandy on the site as going so it was not booked, Andy ended up working and I didnt go, Langley went ahead, and we had a good turn out, twice, we have people who regularly fish bigger waters, Cow Green is on as a site day probs the end of July we try and keep August clear as it is holiday time.

Yet I get comments on the site like this out of the chat room: (yes it is monitored.)


ive just about had enough of this site FC comment ?
i am realy bored with it its become a friends site now FC comment "I hope it is"

crap isnt it FC comment some people only log in and read that is there choice some only log into chat and not very often post, there choice, some people actually try and make this site better too.


worse to clicky plus only us that fish big waters ( FC comment sharpley included in this?)

People want the site visit it and post read use the chat room, if you dont that is your choice

Quite an easy solution to it,if you don't like the site then leave,its that easy.Nowt stopping anybody from it or setting up their own forum is there?

Anybody can set up a forum, I nor anyone else cannot stop anyone from doing what they want, and I wouldnt even try, only thing I would block is advertising of other sites unless a reciprocal link was allowed back here, some sites allow this, some do not, after all we all visit where we want including me

first of all ian you did cancel the last 2 site days or are you not man enough to admit to it. I told you I could not be a moderate for someone who took it on him self to dictate what the rest of us do. does a site day need 20 member to be a site day ??or can just a few go ??or is that not good enough hence you cancelling the tees and locky .and its not the 1st time you have had a little dig on my posts. the derwent was not a site day or a planned event it was me fishing as normal on the weekend. so why come in with the prior notice craic ??? . Its a small case of you can give it but wont take it mate. like I said to dave I not getting into an argument on the forum over a key board it can keep till we are all face to face. don't come in with clever remarks cos ill come straight back at you ian in my opinion your tried to be clever when I posted my fishing at derwnt report. I will apologies if I offended you or TC that was not my intention. but I don't sit and say nothing if I think some 1 is trying to have a go.

lee please calm down and read the post again before you decide to reply .

I had confirmed lockwood I openly jocked about buying votes of members dave , and I am calm dave and did READ IT , this as all come about because of a post in my derwent report ian came in with what I beleave to be a sly dig. I do not have to give any 1 any prior notice and for some reason only known to noel hes made posts saying all of those that turned up caught fish. I WILL STAND MY GROUND ON THIS WE CAN GO AROUND IN CIRCLES OR PUT IT TO BED DAVE,

PUT IT TO BED ill tuck the blankets in and puff the pillows up .
