North Northumberland Hospicecare
A few of you guys know about this but for anybody that does`nt here`s a few details.Lucy Bowden is holding a fishing fundraiser at Chatton on Sunday 15th September.Entry fee is £25 for fours fishing, getting to kill your first two fish,BBQ and a Goody Bag for every angler. To book a spot you have to contact her on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] You must pay the £25 in advance, this is so they know many too cater for for the BQQ,sensible idea if you ask me.Having just fished Lucy`s last fundraiser at Chatton,i`d encourage anybody to give it a go,good craic and good fishing with the chance of winning a top prize in the comp and raffle!

Re: North Northumberland Hospicecare
I cleared it with Lucy today Stew. The event on Saturday there had to be paid in advance as well Stew.I don`t blame them either for taking the money upfront, they have to pay for the BBQ,Chatton etc.If they don`t take money upfront and cater and book Chatton for 40 rods, its a great big lump coming out of the funds raised to make up a shortfall if folk don`t turn up.Not only that i`ve been there on the organising side where folk book in without giving it a thought but if you want cash upfront then they tend have a real think about wether they are gona come.Trust me there`s nothing more annoying than expecting folk to turn up but they went out on the beer the night before and just thought they`ll give it a miss.Suits me fine, cos if i pay it this week, then my digs in a few weeks time,i don`t have to shell out all that when the time comes,£50 odd quid in petrol now for to get to Chatton,so its quite a lump if it was all coming out in the one week, leaves some money in the pocket for raffle or auction. p.s. On Saturday everybody got a Barbour Goody Bag and a Greys Goody Bag,worth the £25 entry fee alone.

Swapped a couple of emails with Lucy last night Stew,i've got a cheque in the post to Lucy to pay for my spot. You can check her Facebook page, she made a post on Tuesday regarding the fundraiser and its on this I asked about payment. The reply is there for all to see that payment must be made prior to the day. You could always stick a post on Facebook or email her at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] if you have any questions.potts123 wrote:we booked for this but wernt asked to pay up front andy
