sunbathing
set off for a walk down the River Derwent this morning at seven o'clock......a decent frost on the ground and i was thinking this isn't a good idea.......fished on up from Hamsterley football field for a couple of hrs picking up on small trout of about 6 inch's, the sky was clear and the sun high in the sky...got up into towards the burn wood and found a nice clearing to have a seat at the side of the river for a cup of tea.....40 mins later am lying there with just a t-shirt on ( waders still intact)...sunbathing ...blumming lovely long may this sunshine continue.....

Day Dreaming on a River.
Its not all about fishing is it.
I have a season ticket on BAAC water and i do more sitting and relaxing these days.
I always try to encorage people to try and find that bit of money and join a good game fishing club.
I like to carry my Monocular in me pocket and watch nature.
I have a pup this year ,she is comeing up two years old but me and her are inseprable since i got her and i hope she will behave when i take her Bogtrotting up Teesdale with me and my rucksack and walking boots.
Bloody wind has put me off and the price of fuel doesnt help get me thinking of river or stillwater.
Ive missed 2012 season alltogether so for me i will have to learn how to cast ect and know when to tighten into that first fish.
I like one for the pot and i cant remember what trout tasted like.
Not one for sunbatheing myself ive only got the one eye left and the other one gives me headaches i think thats why i like me evening sessions on the Wear for Sea-Trout.
