Fontburn Open Day

Hi all, Im of to Fontburn for open day. Going to see if i can catch one of those tagged fish, Never really had much luck at fontburn always getting snagged and losing my flies. Have tied some lures with weed guards for todays visit, Will let you know how i get on .

Well there must be something in the water, My third trip out and my third blank . Got to fontburn at 0630 shock horror there was already people fishing, So i paid my dues and got amongst it. The south shore was full so that left the north shore, Finally found a spot where the six of us could fish . Again tried all my lines fished at all depths and tried all my flies, Not a nibble. Considering there were 5000 fish put in on Tuesday thing weren't going our way, So come 1700 it was Human's nil and the fish well they were laughing . On a good note my weed guards worked a treat . In total when lookin at the returns book there were only about 30 fish caught. Nevermind it was a good day out with good company .

A good day with friends is all lee c and want every trip the fish are a bonus
