Storage of Feathers Empty Storage of Feathers

Hi all,
Not sure if im posting in correct topic. Was wondering ( dangerous i know ) how does everbody store there feathers ie Hackles and Marabou?
I keep mine in a airtight container in the original packaging ( as it still contains the special crystals ), Im i doing right by this?

I just use the original packaging and ziploc bags stored in a set of Aldi filing cabinet drawers, unit and the drawers of my desk too.

if in doubt...get some napthalene crystals (or moth balls) and store feathers and fur in an airtight container or ziplok bag to prevent any bugs and nasties spreading through other materials.... after a few years you get used to the smell of napthalene !!...in fact I quite like it !!!! ;-)

hi

or just dont by to many marabou i keep a lot of my stuff in our lasses purse nowt gets in there i was going to put legs but that would be crude when i get any new furs first place that goes is in freezer for a few days irs never done any harm ive never used anything on my stuff mind i havnt looked in some of my boxes this year i may have a box of hook no feathers lol
