Last Day Oot

Last days fishing of the year for me.A miserable wet n windy day,just like most other days oot recently!Awful conditions driving over the M8 motorway.Picked up Ricky and we were off.Arrived a bit later than usual and there was a few rods already out fishing.We noticed straight away that the water was coloured after the recent rains.Setup and started fishing the midglass and F.U. Couple of bumps during the first few casts but no hookups.Moved down into the corner at the burn and started to get some good knocks.Managed a few fish pulling the F.U. before switching it to under the bung.Got a fish first cast on it and then was joined by Will for a blether.Was getting some good dips still to the bung but i think Will tactic was to distract me by talking,lol.Had 7 fish now so moved on and let Will in.Fished my way round the water but apart from a few bumps no more fish.Was soon lunchtime and during the this the weather turned.Got a good bit colder with the wind picking up and the rain lashing down!The afternoon was much the same as the morning for me,got another half dozen fish on either the F.U. pulled or a reverse bug under the bung.The water was beginning to colour up badly and Ricky had already called it a day,so by about 3 i packed it in as well.Will and Robbie also came off about the same time.Would be nice to get some decent weather next time we go down! 

think its the same all over andy, some colder settled weather should help

Had a reasonable day with eight fish.

Could have been worse....it could have been Cold, Wet and Windy................

Wait a minute it was!

We were probably mad to be out in that especially in the afternoon.

Still a bit of fresh air and some good crack.

So not a bad end to the season.

Looking forward to 2014 and compliments of the season to all.

Good job i never went to the Neuk Stu,i`d be stuck there still,the road up from there is shut,that area took the brunt of the storm.Dunno if i`ll make it there on the 1st!   

Not a bad result for the conditions. All the best for next year   

Thing was Daz,the forecast was'nt for those conditions.It was miles out,Ted obviously saw the same forecast as us because when we arrived he thought it was going to be light winds and dry.It was a long way to go for 4 hours fishing,lol.All the best for the New Year Daz!

Great day but the gear is still soakin'.

7 fish, last again but hey ho. Tinnies would not work at any depth. F.U. and bug did.

It was good to get a day in before ne'er day though

Next stop probably Markle for fritz n Flies comp.
