Re: 2013 at a glance
Just a thought but if everybody made a post on the site when they fished with, weather, tactics, catches etc then nobody would need to keep a diary and we would all have a cracking database.Unless some folk like to keep things secret.........

2013 Season Results
I have been keeping records of my days out for a number of seasons now and they can give you an indication on what might work at a given venue at the same time of year and conditions, I say might because after all its fishing and the fish don't read the records
Here are my totals for the 2013 season:-
fishing trips 66
total fish 747
rod average 11.32
Fish of note:-
Sharpley 13 1/2lb
Sweethope 8 1/2lb
Chatton 11lb
Alderneuk 13lb and 8lb
Seighford 12 1/2lb
Higham 7lb & 7 1/2lb
Fisheries visited:-
Chatton 19 times
Sweethope 7 times
Higham 5 times
Tweedale 5 times
Lochter Aberdeen 5 times
Sharpley 4 times
Whinnie Lock 4 times
Langley Dam 3 times
Grafham 3 times
Markle 2 times
Jubilee 1 time
Wansford 1 time
Toft Newton 1 time
Stocks 1 time
Alderneuk 1 time
Glenbervie 1 time
Aldin Grange 1 time
Belflask 1 time
Seighford 1 time.
1no Blank which was at Wansford on a TEFF Individual heat, what a time to do it
A lot of the above have been competition days, either heats or finals.
Been lucky enough to fish for England at Lochter in Aberdeen, where the team came 2nd.
Won the Peter Taylor memorial comp at Tweedale
Won the Tweedale pairs with Jim Tuck.
Won the Higham Pairs with Jim Tuck
Came 10th in the TEFF Eliminator for the 2014 England team, needed to be in top 7.
Chatton Chaser team came 2nd in the Greys National Bank competition with Jim Tuck & Gordon Swain.
Flies have varied through out the year, Blood worms, rabbits, blobs, mini cats, buzzers, diawls, tinnies.
It has been a good season, only down side was not qualifying for the England team for 2014, as its going to be on my home water Chatton, but I will try again for next year in Ireland.

Re: 2013 at a glance
Ive been keeping records for years. I bought a book called "Fishing Record Book" published by Ebury Press Stationary....ISBN 0 09 177852 2 I have had it for years. Each page has Columns on Date, Fly/Bait, Weather, Water conditions, Size, Species and Comments. Im sure there may be similar books out there still but it is a great way of recording trips and then looking back over the years at what the weather and water were like, what flies I caught on. I even put the odd photo or bit of memorabilia like day tickets etc.. in. Its a nice read in the winter when not much is happening and a good way of reminiscing. (I will leave it in me will for me son lol)
