Thursday 30th January
Hi There,
Fished the Whinney yesterday for three hours and manged eight fish. Five on a Bloodworm and three on an orange egg under the indicator.
The water was a touch cloudy but you could still see three feet into it.
It seemed to be a mixed day with some lads catching steadily and others struggling.
Weather was a bit mixed with the odd flight of rain mixed in with some hailstones.
At one stage i slipped on some mud and went flat on my backside.
Within two minutes Margaret (Tina's sister) was there with a barrow load of gravel followed shortly by a second one.
She is making gravel/stone paths right round the fishery as well as drainage channels!
Never seems to stop...........
By the way if I am allowed to say this I have 30% off all Tackle and Clothing at the moment.
Just clearing out for the new season but some good bargains to be had. :-)
Best Regards
robbie

Hi There,
I had another day at the Whinney with Trevor Wadds on Tuesday.
It was his first visit and after a small moan about only one fly the fish came thick and fast.
He ended up with 14 to the net and i just managed to keep up with him!
Some bargains here.

Hi There,
Last year we drove down the hill in convoy behind the piper..................
With regard to the fishing keep on the move if you are not catching.
Probably two thirds of the fish will be overwintered and the others probably stocked about one to two weeks before so will be on the naturals if there is much happening.
Lures will of course work but conditions will dictate what will work best although most things will work to a degree.
It will be a good day.
Best Regards
