Hook Ups

Most of us will have had a double hook up at some time or other or at least heard of someone having a double hook up while wetting a line.

I was wondering if anyone has had a treble hook up or heard of an angler who was lucky/ unluckly to have achieved this unusual fete.

Ive done it stocky bashing at Hury reservoir .
And that was in the days when they stocked with big brown trout.
We were on the corner where they used to stock it where the Balder comes in.

I did it at Hury more than a few times too, way back in the early 2000s, had a couple of triple hook ups at Aldin Grange way back and few double hook ups since.

I've landed 2 on 2 size 16 short shank beetles on 5lb line and lost 2 a few more times while fishing buzzers but never had or seen 3 on, 2 is hard enought

Had a few doubke hook ups all at alden on buzzers ir worms

Hi Ian please think before you type ! as Aldin is a 2 HOOK ONLY FISHERY   Tracey obviously poked my ribs to give it a mention

Had it twice and see it quite a few times Loll,I've got a mate that in the space of 3 days fishin had 3 treble hookups and a quadruple.....mind you the quadruple did have a perch in with the trout......

Bit of advice on getting a single hook up wouldn't go amiss at the moment.

At the moment I would also settle for one hook up.

young cartmail gets a few tripples on the tees fishing his spiders. The only angler i know who can mend a line in mid cast with 4 flies on his cast. He is a outstanding long line nymph angler. Did you all know he was Cleveland county under 18 coarse angler 4 years running river and ponds

They were double hook ups Jim, Its that long ago   and going through hell down here head aint in a good place (mum back in hospital)

Since when can anyone call Lee "YOUNG" ?

You should get yourself up to Hury or Grassholme your allowed a three fly cast on the reservoirs and the fish should be eager to feed around dinner time pink flies are a good colour in cold water add a gold bead and the fly sinks further.They have reduced the day ticket price and your allowed 8 fish to stock your freezer up for winter.

Don't really know I just presumed it was lee c that the post was about.
I also sent you a txt today re fishing the lower derwent tomoro.

I at work Jaykay, otherwise I would mate, my phone dosen't work out here mate so I'm not being ignorant mate.. I'm on about Lee C ..good lad just aving a bit friendly banter mate..tight lines tomorrow....Lee would enjoy it down there ....some nice Grayling kicking about at the minute.

Ah right, I thought it was strange you didn't reply, planning on fishing from swawell footy ground upstream and see how far we get,it's the first time I've fished the axwell park water apperently the grayling fîshing is quite good down there,I've printed the river map off so we keep to the fishing areas as there seems to be quite a few places where there's no fishing allowed.hoping for a good day the forecast isn't too bad.

let me know how you get on john think we heading out sunday. new flys to try
