Sweethope Fishery Report 30th September
Fish Report-Sweethope Loughs 30th September 2013
This week Sweethope has been fishing well, being visited by 47 anglers who have caught 201 fish, achieving a rod average of 2.2 per visit.
Conditions have been changing as the wind has swung round from the East and the water temperature cools. While success has still been found on the surface with dry patterns, nymphs, wets and lures have also been successful.
Fish of the week was a 7lb rainbow caught by either Chris Guthrie or Gary Hays (they were sharing the same boat, on the same ticket!) but fish of 3-5lb have been common .Alan McPhail caught a 5lb rainbow from the Great Lake on Friday.
Of the 201 fish caught 33 were taken and 168 returned safely to the lake.
Successful fly patterns were: Dries, hoppers, buzzers, sedge, hares ear, daddy, Griffiths gnat, dabbler, nymphs, Dawson’s olive, goldhead, cats whisker, okey dokey.

Hi There,
201 fish for 47 anglers gives a rod average of 4.3 so you are selling yourself a bit short with only 2.2
Best Regards
