Charity Flybox Raffle
Some of you lads know about this already but for those that don`t then last weekend i left a box with around 550 of my tyings in at Chatton. This will be raffled till September 15th(Lucys next fundraiser) and the money raised will be split between Fish for Heroes/North Northumberland Hospice Care.Tickets are £2 each or 3 for £5 at the fishery.I`d hate to see somebody win this and sell it on ebay to make a few quid, would rather it went to somebody that would appreciate it so c`mon get yir tickets bought!Gotta be in it to win it........

Re: Charity Flybox Raffle
Why buy when I plunder your fly box everytime we meet. .
Seriously Andy, what you have done is a fantastic offer and it must have taken a great deal of time and skill to complete such a box of fly's.
I shall be sporting a few quid on tickets next Saturday at Chatton and I hope most if not all the anglers dig deep in their pockets fot such a whorthwhile cause.
Young Lucy is doing a great job with her fund raising so I salute her as a most caring person.

Re: Charity Flybox Raffle
Hello,
I've bought some tickets and had a quick peek at the flies.....they are really good.
I was going to have a go at the competition on the 15th and buy some more tickets but when I've had a look at the info it says it's fancy dress......yes fancy dress! I may have to think about this very carefully......not sure if this is quite my thing.
Regards Ian.

Fancy Dress is optional Ian,though if you don`t then you get "fined" with the fine going to the charity.Ian Alexander wrote:Hello,

Hello,
Well I've been in touch with Lucy and I'm going to fish this comp. I'm looking forward to it but I'm also a bit nervous, I only started flyfishing in feb and don't want to make an arse of myself in front of all these accomplished anglers. Be sure to say hello if anyone on here sees me there.
Regards Ian

Hi Ian,
I will be there on the day so if myself or anyone of the lads can help, you only need to ask.
Should be good fun.
Best Regards

Re: Charity Flybox Raffle
Hello,
Cheers Robbie and Daz, hopefully I'll see you there.
Can I ask a couple of questions? Is it pegged or is it just fishing anywhere you like?
Do you have to keep your first two fish or do you keep your best fish?
If you get two fish straight away do you have to stop fishing and get a bonus for the early finish?
Don't know why I'm asking as I blanked last Friday night there
Sorry for the questions but it's all very new to me.
Regards Ian

last year
if I remember rightly it was defo pegged
you keep your first 2 fish
you continue to fish for the full time getting a lb per fish after your first 2 which is added to your fish weight
don't worry about it the lads and lasses up there will keep you right there a good bunch .
